It all began from a coffee meeting at the Downs Cafe, following Neil´s visit to Liverpool for a weekend. What he saw there in murals around the streets of Anfield was inspirational and during coffee we shared some ideas and quickly became excited to join forces to make this happen... The concept of our Art creations involve celebrating the contributor as much as the personality... Here we are now some twenty four months on from our launch, and due to the support we have received from contributors, we have managed to produce four celebrated murals . We invited enthusiastic supporter Adrian Ashby, to join us and he has been a great addition to our team and a driving force in our recent projects. We began in celebrating a local hero who became the Golden Boy of the area during the mid 1960's to the late 1970's and early 80's footballer Chris Garland. Select the Chris Garland button for more information...Our second mural celebrated two more local footballing hero's in Geoff Merrick and Louis Carey. Our third project was launched on Saturday 14th December 2024. It features 6 'Goal makers and Ace Strikers' from the 1950's to the 1990's.
Our latest and fourth mural highlights some exciting moments in time during Bristol City's history and is named ´Pride of the West´ this was launched on Thursday 7th August 2025.
On each of our murals are displayed a list of contributors who, by their generosity, have enabled our murals to be produced. We are delighted to be able to offer a platform for their own stories.
